Cooling process
No anesthesia is required for the placement of the applicator. The skin with subcutaneous fat layer is sucked into the treatment head, after which the fat cells are cooled to a temperature of -9°C. A tingling or stinging sensation may be experienced in the first few minutes of treatment. This feeling goes away after the skin becomes numb from the cold. The fat cells themselves reach a temperature of 2 to 4 degrees through this process. The process takes about 50 minutes. After the cooling process has been completed, the applicator is removed and the treated area is intensively massaged for two minutes. After this, the skin may be red, but this often disappears in half an hour.
