How the technology works
Fat cells are more sensitive to cold than the skin and muscle tissue around them. Cryolipolysis makes use of that difference: the treatment area is cooled to a constant minus 9 degrees, which the fat cells cannot withstand.
The cells crystallise and die off, after which the body clears them naturally over the following weeks. The skin and surrounding tissue are left undamaged.

Four stages describe what happens inside the body after a session.

The treatment zone is cooled to minus 9 degrees for around 50 minutes.

Crystallisation
The targeted fat cells crystallise under the constant cold.

Cell death
The crystallised cells die off in a controlled, natural process.

Clearance
Over the following weeks the body clears the dead fat cells for good.

A technique backed by research
Cryolipolysis is based on research into how fat cells respond to cold, work that goes back to studies at Harvard Medical School. Because the treatment targets only fat cells, the skin and organs are not affected.
